Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

  • The DOI number is a unique code used to identify content and provide a persistent link to its location on the internet. 
  • All DOI numbers begin with a 10.
  • DOI number is usually found on the first page of the PDF of the article, near the copyright notice, and on the landing page of the article (from the database).
  • Use Crossref to find the DOI number.

Where to Find the DOI - Examples

In Discovery- After selecting your source, look in the Identifier section

 

 

In EBSCO Database- After selecting your source, look for the DOI line
