Frequently Asked Questions

General Library Questions

Where can I find library policies?
Library Guidelines and Policies can be found at https://sru.libguides.com/c.php?g=1229502&p=9040094.
What resources do you have for local community members?
Local community members are able to complete a "Special Borrower Application" and get a membership card to the library that allows a limited amount of borrowing privileges.  Please refer to the Special Borrowers Policy, found under Circulation on the Check Out Library Materials page, for more information.
Is the library hiring?
To find out if the library is hiring, please log into SRU's Handshake website and look for postings for "Bailey Library Student Worker."  For more detailed instructions on this process, visit our About Us page and scroll down to "Student Worker Employment Opportunities."
Where is this office/room in the library building?

Please refer to our digital map of the library for assistance, or ask any library employee and they will direct you where you want to go.

Is there a copy and/or fax machine in the library?

Yes, there are publicly accessible copy and fax machines available on the first floor of the library.  Faxing services are provided for free, and copier usage is available for a small per page fee.  For more information, please contact our Circulation Manager, Kathy Manning, at kathleen.manning@sru.edu

Current SRU students are also able to utilize free scanning services available at the TLC area on the first floor of the library.
