| Do you have the book I am looking for? |
| To find out if we have a specific book, head to the Catalog and Discovery Search. Click on Advanced Search on the right side of the page, and then paste the title of the book you need into the first search line. Click the dropdown on the left and select Title. Click on the dropdown on the right under Material Type and select Book. Hit Search. If we have the book, it should show up first or near the top of the results page. |
| Where do I go to search for books? |

Go to the Catalog and Discovery Search. Click Advanced Search on the right side of the page. Under the Material Type dropdown box, select Books. Enter your search terms on the provided lines, and hit Search.

| How do I request a book be placed on hold? |
| Go to the Catalog and Discovery Search. Find the book using the Advanced Search feature, and click on the book title to open the item record. Under the "Get It" heading, click Place on Hold, fill out the form, and click REQUEST. |
| How do I check out a book? |
| Locate the book you want in Bailey Library and take it to the Circulation Desk by the main entrance of the library. Your library card is your Student ID, so hand the book and your ID to the student worker at the desk, and they will check the book out to you. |
| How do I access an ebook? |
| On the catalog result page for the ebook you want, scroll down to the section that says View It. There will be one (or more) links that say Full Text Available at. Click the link and you will be redirected to the database where you can read the ebook online. |
| How do I request a book that Bailey Library does not have? |
| You can submit a request using either the ILLIAD Portal or E-Z Borrow. These services are free to current SRU students and faculty/staff. |
| How do I check on the length of my loan, renew a book, or see pending holds, requests, fines, etc. |
| You can check on the status of all materials you have checked out, requested, etc. using the My Library Card feature, which can be found after you sign in on the Catalog and Discovery Search page. Sign in using your SRU Credentials with the Sign In Button normally in the top right corner, and after you are logged in, click on your name and select My Library Card to review options. |
