Here are some hints to help identify scholarly sources:
Looking for scholarly articles that are specific to Criminology & Criminal Justice? Do you need "peer-reviewed" or "scholarly" articles for an assignment? The library databases have peer-reviewed articles and abstracts on topics relevant to research in Criminology & Criminal Justice.
Hint: Use the checkbox option in the library databases to limit your results to only peer-reviewed articles.
Full text access is available for many articles in the library databases. Articles that are available in full text will include a "PDF Full Text" icon or a link for full text.
Some articles will include a link to "Check for full text." Click on this link to find out if the article is available in a different library database. If the article is available, you will get a link to the database which will take you to the article. If full text is not available through Bailey Library, you will get a link to request the article through Illiad, the library's interlibrary loan system. Articles requested through interlibrary loan are obtained from another library and delivered to you electronically.
Access to the library databases is available both on- and off-campus. If you are off-campus, you will be prompted for a user name and password to login. Enter the same user name and password that you use for SRU email and D2L. This will authenticate you as an SRU user and pass you through to the resource.
For more information on off-campus access, see the Off-Campus Access Research Guide.
